Incremental
Training
Workshop

  • Do you have a lot of fear and resistance to doing incremental training?

  • Do you bounce back and forth between avoiding triggers and over doing it?

  • Are you feeling stuck trying to show your limbic system who’s the boss instead of
creating safety for your survival brain?

  • Are you confused about how to move towards your goals with incremental training?

My incremental training workshop is designed to address the above challenges and so much more. The two and a half hour class is a recording of a live event held in October 2025. The first hour and a half is a presentation that covers the basics of incremental training, such as what it is and why we do it. From there, the presentation delves into the often overlooked nuances of incremental training, that frequently make all the difference in how each person approaches moving toward their goals. Please see below for a more detailed list of what is covered in the hour and a half long presentation.

The last hour of the workshop is the Q&A from the live event. This portion of the class covers topics such as incremental training when you are in a freeze/shutdown state, what to do when you have gone out of your training zone and don't have time for a round of practice, how to use your tools when having a fear response after a challenge, and so many other great topics.

Whether you are brand new to brain retraining, or a seasoned retrainer, you will gain a whole new understanding of incremental training and how to approach it in a gentle, flexible and compassionate way.

You will have access to the recording for one year, so that you have plenty of time to review the workshop as many times as you need.

The Recording of the Live Class will be Available in a Few Weeks

The Workshop Covers:

  • Laying the foundation for successful incremental training and preparing your brain for change, before you start intentionally exposing yourself to triggers.

  • How to properly do imaginary incremental training and not keep unintentionally reinforcing the trigger.

  • How to tell you are triggered with imaginary incremental training.

  • Different approaches to incremental training beyond plan, measure and repeat.

  • How to gently do concrete exposures and create safety for the limbic system.

  • What to incrementally train on.

  • Finding the balance between avoidance, and pushing through with triggers.

  • Outcome independence and how to measure success with incremental training.
